The Artist
About Adin
Istanbul.. The city I was born and lived for 30 years, is a very authentic, modern, challenging and fast; crowded and crazy one...A city that gave me a vast selection of colours...
My journey of leaving Istanbul to living in Bratislava offered me a great freedom to collect interesting things to memorise wherever I looked. As an interior architect I was/am always intrigued with details around me. In a restaurant while people would check the menu, I would scan the lighting fixtures, bar counter, harmony of wall and ceiling, trying to catch the concept, the sink in the toilets or if the gap of the tiles on the wall would fit the gap of tiles on the floor...
Details...Everything about the nature, cosmos, microscopic photographs, other painters and designers or a simple metal ring can be an inspiration for me. However these are not enough all alone. Playing with hues and contrast of the colours, proportions and their balance make the artwork for me vibrant and exciting and even calming as a result. I love to play with the colours and hues, challenge myself to chase the finished image which I have seen in my mind, feel my racing heart beats and finally release the long-held breath at the end.
So I started.... and I enjoyed it very much... Thanks to the artworks, I explore the other sides of myself, from straight lines to swirling circles or from flowers to abstract artworks... I still continue to explore, to experiment....
